$1 Billion in Additional CSBG Funding

We have achieved $1 billion in additional CSBG funding following our current distribution system as well as the language that we negotiated which includes 200% FPL and 2-year carry over. Additionally, the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) is reporting that Congress has proposed an additional $900 million for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to address the COVID-19 health and economic crisis sweeping the country as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). One sub-section of the bill, the Keeping American Workers Paid and Employed Act, aims to provide relief to American small businesses and nonprofits in the form of various loan programs.

For Nonprofits
The CARES Act includes several provisions intended to provide immediate financial support for nonprofits and to encourage charitable giving by individuals and corporations.

For Individuals & Families
The Act provides relief to individuals and families in the form of direct payments, relaxed restrictions on retirement accounts and new guidelines on cash donations to public charities.
