Thank you to the many CAA boards interested in increasing their knowledge about what it means to be a board member in the network! We have received some feedback about getting access to the training. Here are the details on logging into CalCAPA Academy for new users – specifically for the online orientation.
At this time, there is a semi-manual self-enrollment process for the online orientation for board members (a.k.a. Tripartite Boards: Roles and Responsibilities). You will also find guidance at the website for first-time users:
- Go to https://calcapa-academy.moodleconcept.com/course/view.php?id=9. This link will take you to the login screen for CalCAPA Academy. The same link can also be used as a shortcut to access the e-learning course.
- Click on the “REGISTER NOW” link and complete the form. This is located on the right side of the screen, under “Is this your first time here?” Note: you will need to provide your name, email, and CAA to access the LMS – CalCAPA does NOT use or distribute this information for marketing purposes.
- CalCAPA will manually activate your account. This process is usually quick but may take up to one business day to complete. Once active, you will receive a system-generated email with your username and password. Note: full access to CalCAPA Academy is limited to CSBG network CAAs and other active members of CalCAPA.
- Use the link in step 1 to log into CalCAPA Academy and self-enroll in the course. You may also self-enroll in any course that permits it and browse the growing library of online and in-person training that is available through CalCAPA Academy and the CalCAPA Academy Marketplace.
