Community Action Commission (CAC) is a large nonprofit organization with over 50 years of experience serving disadvantaged individuals and families. CAC is taking steps to redesign our family and youth services division. We are seeking a progressive leader with knowledge and experience in prevention and early intervention services including program development and implementation, as well as cultivating federal, state and foundation funding sources. Must have the ability to inspire stakeholders by creating a new vision for motivating disadvantaged youth toward a pathway to success.

Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for the overall management of the program.  Responsibilities including providing leadership to program management staff, as well as planning, directing, organizing, and monitoring program operations, activities, services, and staff, consistent with contract requirements and Agency policies and procedures. Responsible for the integration of Results-Oriented Management & Accountability (ROMA) principles at all program levels and oversight of CAP60 data management. Establishes the vision for the department, identifies best practices and other interventions consistent with the agency’s strategic plan and seeks funding opportunities to support mission-aligned programming.

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Agency policies and applicable laws. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff assigned under the Family/Youth Services program.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Administration or related field with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible management experience in a youth/family development program(s). Two years direct experience in managing government-funded programs, including program and budget planning is highly desired.

Strong computer skills with knowledge of Project Management/Spreadsheet/Word Processing software. Valid California Driver’s license, knowledge of Medi-Cal standards and billing regulations, mental health regulations, and program audit procedures is highly desirable.

This position is a full-time regular position and our regular positions are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance as well as a 5% salary match for a tax-deferred retirement plan (403b, with match after 1 year of employment).
